The
New Wildhogs Fell Running Championship for 2008
Starting this year the Roadhogs is going on the wild side,
with the New Wildhogs Grand Prix (running along side the regular Championship)
a fell running series of 17 races (3 long, 2 medium and 12 short). So if you
feel like giving your fell shoes a proper workout come along and let the battle
begin.
To take part in the Championship you will compete in
any of the 17 races listed below (these can be all short if you
wish), with a maximum of 8 races from the 17 counting towards your final Championship
score. Any Handsworth member be
it first or second claim can enter.
Scoring
The
first Handsworth runner in each race will score 40 points, the second 39 and so
on. The allocation of points will not be age or sex related,
the points will be allocated purely on your finishing position. Club colours preferred but not compulsory, let series organiser
or a committee member know at beginning or end of race.
Ties
In
the event of any runners scoring the same number of points, the runner who has
scored better head to head with his or her rival will be the winner. If this
fails to separate the runners then the runner who has a beard will be the
winner. If neither or both runners have a beard it will be called a draw.
Prizes
Your
age group will be determined by your age on the 01/01/2008.
Prizes for Senior Male, Vet Male and
Female.
